West Side School

West Side School is a public elementary school (K-6) with approximately 140 students and 24 full and part-time staff dedicated to providing family-style education. The small scale of only one class per grade allows for personalized attention to both students and families.

West Side is a rural school with strong ties to its more urban community nearby. Located two miles from the town of Healdsburg, the school is nestled in a small valley surrounded by redwood trees and bounded by two creeks. About half of the students reside in the local district with the balance coming from the surrounding towns of Healdsburg and Windsor. Nearly twenty-five percent of the children come from Spanish speaking homes. West Side prides itself on this diversity and feels that it contributes to a more enriching educational environment.
